"We had a fantastic time here. Our host greeted us upon arrival and asked if we would like to participate in an authentic tea ceremony. "New hotel, clean and great location. Hotel located in quite place but we could walk to everywhere, also the railways station that not far from hotel, then you can use the train to transfer to the tourist attractions that so convenient.
Front desk always greeting us with warm welcome and smile. They really take care all deatils of the guest. So appreciated and for sure we would love to stay here again.

"The Single Room has adequate space for one single traveler. The room is clean, quiet and the bed is comfortable. If anything, I would say the lighting of the room is a bit too dark for me.
For art lovers, the bonus is that this is not your typical hotel with artwork collections; the lobby is an art gallery for real. I was pleasantly surprised to be invited to an exhibition opening cocktail party during my stay.

"We stayed in Tokyo and Osaka prior to our stay here in Kyoto at Maeniiya Machiya Inn. Maeniiya Machiya Inn is a definite great place to stay and close to everything.
Akemi (property owner) is a wealth of knowledge and gave a lot of tips and recommendations. Be sure to visit Sukemasa for dinner if you like Gyoza. It is very close and yummy for 1000yen!
