"This was on par with any Aloft property I've stayed at, nothing out of the ordinary. The location is good for nightlife and the main beach. If you can afford it though, stay in an all-inclusive in Cancun."

"I had such a wonderful solo getaway at Riu Palace Las Americas. It’s such a fun place whether you want to chill by the pool or relax on the beach. The buffet was super tasty, and as a dairy-free pescatarian, I felt like I had plenty of options, which I really appreciated. The staff was also incredibly kind. Since I was staying by myself, I felt very safe — the staff even called my room every night to make sure everything was okay. That meant a lot. It was truly the perfect low-budget getaway with a high relaxation payoff. I especially loved spending my days at the beach, and Isai provided the best service — he was running around in the heat and always there when I needed a piña colada! The only thing I’ll mention is that guests wake up early to reserve beach chairs with towels. I was fine since I was by myself and got to the beach around 8 AM, but if you’re coming with others and want a prime beach spot, they can be harder to get. There were a few towel-reserved spots next to me where people didn’t show up until noon (and I was there at 7/8). I understand there’s not much the staff can do about that, but it was a little surprising to see. Other than that, there were no hiccups at all — it was a great stay. Thank you to the Riu team for such a relaxing and enjoyable trip!"

"PROS: Ocean view with balcony was fantastic, beach was wonderful!! CONS: Bed and pillows a bit hard for my liking. Cleanliness could have been better, dispensers out of body wash and lotion. "

"Room was great , the beds were a bit small for two people but the staff added an extra bed in our room , staff was amazing they were all very attentive of their guest from the beach all the way to your room , they always had some entertainment going on which was great since there were some chilly days. Food and drinks were great!"

"This resort was excellent in every way. All staff were attentive, rooms nice, clean and spacious. Loved that they supplied water bottles everyday. The place was calm and pleasant. Restaurants on property had delicious food, especially Le Cap, their Sushii menu was amazing. Overall was impressed with the property. "
