Great spot!

We were only here for 1 night but our stay was great! Hotel Oceanic is in a great location, just steps from St. Lazare station. The staff was very friendly. Our rooms were spacious and clean. We will definitely stay here again the next time we're in Paris!

This hotel is wonderful. The staff is superb. It is in a great location, very close to St. Lazare metro station. You can walk anywhere. The beds were comfortable and the showers were perfect. The breakfast (not included in the rate) is delicious and oh so worth it.

My room during some very hot weather was always somewhere cool & comfortable to come home to. Although it was sometimes very noisy outside, I barely heard a thing. A proper opening window was a bonus. The staff were cordial & helpful. I enjoyed my brief stay here.
The room was bright & airy, with nice street views.

Hotel was perfect - room spacious and spotless. Excellent location, just 5 minutes walk from opera house and Bouvelard Haussmann. Also convenient for airport bus . Would definitely stay there again .

Very clean hotel and lovely staff. Breakfast is very limited and only average. Beds very comfortable and great to have a fridge in the room. Bathroom had sufficient storage but the shower was useless, no power at all which made hair washing very difficult. All in all a good hotel, felt safe and air conditioning was fab to have.

Suspicious bedding and noises

I mainly book the hotel for its location, so can't be too picky over the quality. The room was not too small for central Paris, but the toilet is a retrofit and thus fits half of a person at a time. The sheets and linens are not 100% white with the dirty mattress/pillow showing through. I had tingling on the skin touching the mattress side. Heating was also less than ideal. The radiator was barely warm, which is probably why there's also an electric heater in the room. However, on a 2 degrees winter day, even with both on the room failed to reach 20 degrees and I ended up having to use the AC. Given cheap nuclear power in France, probably should just use the AC. The worst problem is passing trains shaking the building. Sometimes some furniture would resonate as well, which makes the whole experience alarming. The trains stop around 1am but resumes at 6.
