"I had a lovely stay in one of the double rooms which is very spacious for Japanese hotels. I loved the the design of the room as well as its amenities - especially the en-suite bathroom! "Hotel is great. Good central location for walking around Kyoto. Relatively close to the shrine. Comfortable room but remember you are in Japan so it is smaller than other countries. Friendly staff, clean building. Recommend. "

The only slight criticism would be the swimming pool - access earlier in the day (from 7:00 am ? and maybe keeping it open later than 17:00) would be highly desirable !!"
