"Would recommend but be aware. Area under construction and can have plumbing problems out of their control, even the ocean view rooms will be over looking an over grown empty lot. That said everything else was great! The area is fun and walkable, room was clean and well kept, and service was excellent and issues were dealt with quickly and easily. "

"Wonderful property located within a gated community. There’s a small, very beautiful beach and a pool almost right next to the house — extremely convenient. It’s a very quiet and scenic place you won’t want to leave. You can take a picturesque path to another larger beach (where the Riu hotels are located) if you’d like a bit of variety. The home is very comfortable, fully equipped with everything you need and even more for a truly relaxing stay (beach towels, swimming gear, board games, etc.),...

"This place is literally on the beach which is great. The surrounding area is nice with a lot of shops and restaurants. The room itself smelled very musty and I’m glad we only stayed one night. Unfortunately the entire beach is lit up with lights at night which made it hard to see stars."

"Accommodations are very clean, great location, staff are very friendly and helpful. This Accommodation would be great for short term guests but falls very short on long term guests. I was booked for 7 weeks but was expected to go that long without fresh sheets and towels unless I was willing to pay for them. When I wanted to send my linens to Rush Laundry for much less than what they wanted to charge me, I was told that I couldn't send their property out...on the original booking it stated that...

"We adored Puerto Morellos. Fabulous beach and lots of great beach restaurants. Quiet town with lots of restaurants and live music. The property was cute and the staff very responsive and nice. Our only complaint was the sewer system which was emitting odour in our suite by the end of our stay. "

"I specifically booked two rooms at the Ventus hotel, as a returning guest to El Cid was familiar with the layout and where all the restaurants, bars and pools were located. Although cheaper, I intentionally avoided the Ventus Ha hotel because it is across the street and farther from the main restaurants and pools. Somehow, despite selecting the Ventus hotel, the rooms I booked ended up being for the Ventus Ha hotel. This makes no sense. Choosing one hotel and being assigned to another feels...

"It was the perfect hotel for a weekend getaway. It was very clean, and the rooms were perfect. We could walk right to the beach from our room, and the restaurants were great overall. I would highly recommend this place for people looking for a peaceful getaway right on the beach, without the huge crowds in the hotel zone of Cancun. "

"Check in was easy, and most of the staff who work the front desk for a very lovely, but the exception of one woman who accused my husband and I of ripping off our bracelets. They broke/ ripped off twice, and she essentially said that it was impossible, and if it happened again, we would have to pay. I also wish the hotel had a quiet hour time between say 10 PM and 8 AM, there was a family that had children screaming at the top of the lungs and stomping around at six in the morning till 11...

"Location not even close to where Expedia says it’s at. Construction noise all around. No hot water. Bed hard as rock. Long walk to center of town Sink had no handles. Over all wouldn’t recommend it. "
