Staff went above and beyond to make our experience memorable and comfortable. Giving us time and space but also available when needed. We incorporated dinner and breakfast which I highly recommend. Such a unique experience to stay in a matchiya. The place was absolutely stunning.

Top notch property that was very comfortable for our family of four. Traditionally beautiful with all of the modern amenities included. The staff was very helpful and attentive and breakfast was on time both mornings (ordered separately). We would not hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended.

This property is incredible, like staying in your very own spa apartment. The staff were amazing & when we struggled to arrive on the expected day due to a typhoon, called us (English speaking) to give us advice & offer a refund for the night we would miss. Miki met us when we arrived and answered any questions we had about the apartment and Kyoto. If you want a bit of luxury then this is the place for you ... faultless

Very nice traditional house. Very clean. The host is very friendly and accommodating. However this house is best suited for 4 people or less, not for 6 people nor people that has problem going up steep stairs as the two bedrooms are upstairs. Also, with only 1 shower it is not convenient for 6 people that wanted to shower. The other two people had to find another place to stay since it was super cramped.

We had a fantastic time here. Our host greeted us upon arrival and asked if we would like to participate in an authentic tea ceremony. We got dressed in provided outfits, and the kids loved making matcha tea with the host. We loved the two levels, the indoor and outdoor baths, and the washing machine (kids use up a lot of clothes). We've been touring Asia, and this was one of the nicest places we've visited during our travels, especially while travelling with kids. Everything seemed to work. Can not thank the host enough for our fabulous stay in Kyoto

This was a perfect place to experience Japan. It had traditional Japanese accomodations and food but also with many high tech conveniences. The staff was very helpful in getting us taxis to easily visit locations like the imperial palace or the Bamboo Forest. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wishes to have a great experience in Kyoto.
