"The hotel is so old and was falling apart. The pool was in a sketchy basement with the lining of the pool coming up and bubbling. Our room had a shower with only hot water, springs poking out of the mattress and a toilet that didn't Flush. DO NOT stay here it's awful. s"

"The hotel is best suited for one - or two if you don't mind having to step around each other. The rooms are quite small, the bed too big for the room. Rhe little deskette with chair, if used, collides with the bed. The bath has all the usual, but is by far, the smallest I've ever met. The good, though, is that the hotel is mere feet from Cardiff Central and is well located. The desk staff pleasant and helpful, and the bed is comfortable. It works if you arent going to spend any...

"The staff are a Great team, they made our stay very enjoyable. I have always wanted to stay there ever since I was a young boy . My wife and I will go back again. If all Hotels had staff so nice every one would have no complaints . David and the receptionist staff brilliant and the lady in charge of the restaurant and breakfast room all staff First class ."

"Booked a double room for 2 nights with pull out bed for my son - his bed wasn’t made up when we arrived - check in staff were rude and disinterested. Walls very thin, reception areas and restaurant nice, first floor, our room and pool area and changing rooms shabby and in desperate need of a deep clean, lick of paint / update. Service slow and ineffectual on several occasions. Several time staff just weren’t there. Surprise £34 charge to park the car in the hotel’s own carpark for two nights...

"Booking in was very easy you book in yourself it very easy to do also could have gone to reception if needed. Approached by a very friendly member of staff if we needed help, informed of breakfast times and when the bar was open till. Rooms were lovely and clean. Special touch of a bag of 2p’s to go and spend at the arcades to relive our child hood memories very lovely touch. Definitely recommend this hotel and will return. "
