Hotel Ambassadeur

8/10 Good

"Really good in a lot of ways: -Pool has kids area and separate very large area for swimming. You can read in peace. Great. -Breakfast very good. There was hot served food and many cold options including fruit, cereal, meat and cheese etc. - Very nice bar to come back to in evening peaceful but not dead. -Excellent staff. -Buses to town excellent -run till late evening very regular and stop outside hotel. If you need 2 consecutive buses ask for a transfer ticket on bus for same price. Negatives: -No parasols over the sunbeds but you can move to shaded area. -Shower has very low water pressure. -Pillows are terrible. The staff gave me a few to try but they need new ones. -Even with a fan on, the room was baking hot. (Daytime temp was 26 degrees). Overall we enjoyed the hotel and there’s even an M and S local food shop round the corner."

Merton Hotel

"We found the Merton really good in every way from check in staff to room attendants. We did not eat in the restaurants as we were out each day but the breakfast was beautiful... It is easy to get there either on foot from St Helier or by bus and the buses run regularly...a lovely hotel we would definately stay again if we come back to Jersey"

"The hotel was lovely , clean and bright. The breakfast room was light and airy and the selection for breakfast excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, they were lovely. The restaurant was good, we had one evening meal there and it was very pleasant, staff were very attentive and we enjoyed the jazz band. We had a pool view room, the room was spacious , the only negative was the heat in the room , it would benefit from air con. We requested an additional fan and it was delivered the following morning, but the room did remain extremely hot, that is the only negative on what was a very pleasant stay"

Westhill Country Hotel

"Stayed 4 nights with two teens. They loved the pool and garden. It’s a bit outside of St Helier so a car was useful. Pool bar and snacks were good but expensive. Didn’t stay for dinner as a 3 course menu only from 6.30-8pm which was more suited to the package holiday crowd. There was 70s style entertainment in the evenings."

"Fantastic location opposite the beach and lido with regular bus service. Had a spacious room with balcony and sea view. Buffet breakfast - good quality and freshly cooked. Ate in the restaurant a few times in the evening. Food and service were first rate. Friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely stay again."

The Golden Sands

10/10 Excellent

"The golden Sands is a stunning family run hotel right on Saint Beard Beach, and the highlight are the excellent staff. The restaurant is great and the rims are average sized and well worth the Seaview. The only comment would be no air-conditioning, not normally a problem given the Seabreeze but it was really hot during our day. I’ll definitely return."
