"This was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we’ve had. The room had a very strong moldy smell that was impossible to ignore and made it uncomfortable to stay in the room for long periods. For a hotel that markets itself as a 5-star property, this is completely unacceptable. Even more concerning was the cleanliness of the bathroom. The shower, bathtub, and toilet were visibly dirty and clearly had not been cleaned to an acceptable standard before our arrival. Hygiene is the most basic expectation in any hotel, and certainly in one claiming a 5-star rating. The overall condition of the hotel feels extremely outdated and poorly maintained. While this property may have deserved a 5-star rating many years ago, today it unfortunately does not even meet the standards of a typical 2-star hotel. We hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the cleanliness and maintenance issues urgently, because the current condition does not match the expectations set by the hotel’s advertised rating."

"Beautiful hotel, wonderful staff, everything was clean, organized, and well maintained. We could not be happier! We stayed in a villa and had 2 pools to choose from and the most amazing beach ever! Plenty of food options, the breakfast here that’s included at the hotel is lovely. We could not complain about a single thing. We highly recommend staying here at least two nights. Today we went to the diamond cave and the monkey corner. Both are recommended. We already explored the other islands so we just spent our time here enjoying the beach, Pool, and a small village."

"First impression are everything. We had arranged a pickup when we arrived that did not transpire so we managed to find our way across to the east side of the island to the resort. When we arrived I was expecting the resort to be on the beach. It is not and with the tide out it did not present a welcome view. The sewer smell was very strong at that particular time. We found the resort was average and not the luxury property we were expecting from the description and reviews. There was really no view from our deck. Over the suites you could see the mountain tops but no ocean views. The room was just average with a very big bed that we found comfortable. The shower was good. We did not use the extra large bathtub. The pool area does not have sufficient seating for the number of guests and the lounge chairs are very dirty. Some of the guests would place their towels on the lounge chairs and then leave the area for extended periods. Other guests would arrive and not have a lounge chair to sit on because someone was reserving a chair with a towel. It was brought the the desk staff attention and I suggest they implement a policy when you left the pool area you had to take your stuff with you. They did not address the issue and the next day I witnessed two guests yelling at each other over the chairs almost getting in a fist fight. This was regular.The hotel is marketed as a luxury hotel but doesn"t offer luxury especially for the price they are charging. "

"Things to watch for. Upon check in there’s a 5% charge on the bill for using a credit card. Unless you are a series rock climber there’s nothing much to do. The longboats try and rip you off. Take cash as I didn’t see any ATMS and a couple of times paying for food/dinner cash only. That said rooms were very clean staff lovely. Would I go back… No"
