"Wonderfully modern and clean home. The best part was the restaurant next door and the private Onsen soaring tub. They provide a number toiletries as a convenience if you didn’t bring any. The mini splits do take time to warm up the home, but once they do it is very comfortable. "

"This is a Premium high $$$ stay, you will feel very fancy here.
The private Onsen is the best I have ever had the pleasure of using (it is 1000% worth the surcharge)
The only issues I had with my stay were some inconsistencies with the online posting and the english room instructions they appeared a little out of date (for example they both listed a dinner that was not available for our stay)"

"The property is relatively huge and everything is well-equipped. You will feel safe using the items they provide. The bath on basement is extremely huge and iconic for relaxation.
Negatives are that you won’t have much space to open up your luggage. "
"Beautiful lobby with breath taking views of Lake Ashi, with modern amenities and plenty of Japanese touche. Free shuttle bus to Odarwa station and the fact Hakone ropeway and Pirate ship is only 5mins walk away. There’s coffee in the lobby and ice tea to settle in when you arrive. The onsen is great for those who dare to bath naked or you can opt for private onsen for a fee. Live the fact they had 2 electric massage chairs just outside the baths to wind down. Also you can book for massage at their onsite facility. Breakfast and dinner buffet was great - the only down side was it was repeated so could get a little boring if you stayed more than 2 nights. Overall, highly recommend this place. Came with my two kids who were under 10."
"The property, view, and surrounding area are unbeatable. We will be recommending to anyone we know who will be visiting the area. If we ever come back to Hakone, we will 100% stay here again."
"Unmatched location, all rooms look over the stunning 1930’s garden and magnificent mountains and lake, no bad views! The hotel exudes old world charm, and while some may find this ‘dated’ we found it delightful. The Franco-Japanese -Deco blend carries through to cuisine and 2 fantastic restaurants (though not for the budget conscious). A truly unique and memorable stay. Would come back in a heart beat. "
