Walkable to train station and convenient stores. Safe neighborhood. Cute traditional Japanese house for fully immersive experience. Check in location is within walking distance to Kyoto Station. They provide luggage forwarding services for a fee, so we could start exploring. Seamless service.

I like everything for this Machiya. I mean it. Extremely good. Of course it costs higher than normal and average accomodation. But to me it worths for sure.

This house is very beautiful and located very close to the former „Kaiserpalast“ and castle „Nijō“. However, to reach it from Kyoto station it is required to take three subway stations and a >10 minutes walk. But you can at least let comfortably transfer your luggage to the house (from Check-in office next to Kyoto station). In conclusion, we would chose it another time when visiting Kyoto as the area is very attractive and a very good starting point for various points of interest. Ramen restaurant is also next by for pleasant evenings. But you can also help yourself by buying very good food in „Life“ shop not far away as the kitchen of the house is also very well equipped.
