"Do not pay for the kaiseki breakfast and lunch it is really not worth it.
The onsens and the staff are great.
But avoid paying for the diner and breakfast.
When we pay more than 500 usd per night we expect the possibility to choose a vegetarian meal.
But they just refused. They offer a list of 28 ingredients that you have to remove all together (including sea food, eggs, milk....and some meat). And even if you order this, they still can serve you lamb or duck...
It is not my first high end ryokan but it is th first time i see this kind of process....
The kaiseki is a big part of the price we pay and it is definetely not worth it..."
"A large hotel with a ton of guests. Great hotel and great staff. Only feedback would be for the hotel to create more dinner and breakfast “start times” to avoid the massive rushes in the dining area that created a feeding frenzy with some disgruntled people. Seemed unlike most Japanese experiences. "
"Getting around the property and the shopping center was convenient with the buses provided by the hotel.
Lots of washers in the laundry area.
I love the individual cabins scattered around the property. Makes it feel like you're in the woods.
Great place for families!"
"Need to walk quite a distance from Nagano Station, along the way, you will find Family Mart and Lawson. A quiet and peaceful street in the morning. The view was good from the breakfast area, but my room view is facing the cemetery, though. The overall hotel vibe gives me a 90s feel, but it's clean and tidy. I like their mini bar as they fill it with many complimentary drinks. "
"Great location, close to bus terminal and town center. Staffs were very polite and provided great service. Public bath was clean and relaxing. Highly recommended this hotel and would love to go back to stay again. "
