"The breakfast included was fresh and filling with local foods included. They still took time to best explain everything even with the language barrier. The staff was helpful and from the private onsen to the room, everything was very clean. Very close to the town center without the possible noise and foot traffic if it was any closer. "Location is good, opposite is the ski resort, which has good snow. Overall room was well maintained, public Onsen was nice too. However we came during early ski season, there is barely any restaurants opens. Hotel cafe food is a bit expensive, and not much choice (mainly western). If plan to stay may order half board instead, or tell hotel staff to reserve dinner before 10am"

"I really enjoyed my stay, however getting there was challenging, and I couldn't find the email to ask questions on their website. I ultimately took a risk and was able to hop on a bus from Karuizawa, but online it mentions no reservations for buses, and I could not find that there even was one to the resort. If their email had been listed (and perhaps it is not due to an internet issue through the US), I'd have had less stress getting there. Otherwise, I only recommend others research more before going here so they know the customs more - tattoos are not allowed, and I had to book the private onsen."
