Loved this place! Super clean and convenient. Loved the Onsen in the hotel. The shuttle to Yubatake was great! This was a great place to stay, even more so if you bring your dog as they are very dog friendly!
We love this hotel and recognize the care and effort that went into caring for the property as well as maintaining a nice clean atmosphere. Attention given for providing extra items for rental or personal use was a nice touch. The shuttle that travels back-and-forth between the bus station was also helpful. We had some minor issues with the facilities. The lounge does not open till 4 PM and when the weather is inclement or rainy, it would be nice to have that location available. They also have a drink machine that was never on or available to use, which would also make it more user-friendly. The onsens were pleasant, but more attention to removing clumps of hair from bottom of onsen during cleaning times would make it more pleasant.
I booked this hotel because it fit what I needed: a good location, a proper bed, and a reasonable price. It ended up exceeding my expectations.
The room was larger than I expected, comfortable, and very well designed. The bed was good, I had enough space to relax, and the overall quality of the room made it somewhere I was genuinely happy to return to after a long day.
The biggest strength was the view. The view from my room was breathtaking and is one of the main reasons I am leaning toward staying here again. For me, a hotel is not just somewhere to leave luggage and sleep; it can also become part of the travel experience.
There were two downsides. Staffing was minimal, which may matter if you prefer more traditional hotel service. The hotel was also uphill from the town centre. After all the walking and travelling I had already been doing, I was breathing heavily by the time I reached it.
Despite that, the room quality and especially the view outweighed the inconvenience for me. I would seriously consider staying here again.
