The staff was very welcoming and spoke enough english to accomodate all of our needs. We got the room with the private bath with included dinner and breakfast in the room. Food was extremely delicious.

Wonderful stay and a great hotel. Private “Golden Onsen” in room was fantastic, beautiful view of the mountains and town from the bath. If you want to experience a traditional Japanese hotel I 100% recommend.

Service was amazing, and from the moment we arrived they pampered us like royalty. The ladies who served the meals were very professional and efficient. And the breakfast and dinner served was exceptionally well done. All in all one of the best experiences at a lodging we had ever had.

The onsen is not big but it is clean and has a peaceful atmosphere. Drinks are provided in the common area and it is perfect after using the onsen. Breakfast and dinner provided were of good quality. The staff speaks good English and they were very helpful.

Really loved this stay! I arrived early to drop off my luggage, the staff helped me to check in early (although rooms are only available at 3pm still) and even helped to move my luggage to my room by the time I came back. The staff will guide you step by step on the hotel facilities and to your room, you can even choose the type of pillow for you futon. The dinner is kaiseki type and the staff will bring each dish course by course, explaining to you how to eat each dish. I had mine at the dinning hall and was surprised by the male staff when he explained in English. The in room toilet has a very nice atmosphere and then there is a modern shower, although you will more likely to be using the Onsen for your showering and bathing. Speaking of the Onsen, the hotel has 2 separate layouts that will rotate genders per day, so if you want to experience both layouts you need to use it during the morning the next day. I didn't manage to get her name but the lady staff that helped me checked in and also check out was very hospitable, from the early check in to helping with the souvenir store and seeing me off after check out, making the entire experience very welcoming. Overall a really great experience! Just one thing to note, the road to the hotel has quite a bit of incline, just be prepared when returning back from visiting the main town area.

Amazing stay! Hotel staff very communicative, the ryokan room was beautiful and the private onsen was sooooo nice. Breakfast in the ryokan was delicious too! There is a shuttle bus that can take you to the main area as the ryokan is up a steep slope.

Great food and cozy ryokan.

Staff were helpful and explained everything about the rooms in the ryokan including how to use their jacuzzi shower. you can choose a pillow to suit you and they will deliver to the room. Transport pick up and drop off were also very fast and efficient. Dinner was fabulous! Best beef I had ever eaten!

Great ryokan stay with kids!

Staff service is very kindly. We were able to enjoy our dinner in-room with our 4 months old newborn without creating a fuss to the surrondings. The onsen facilities is very good and hotel staff is flexible to adjust according to our needs. Superb experience!

We"ve been visiting Arima-onsen and Hanamusubi for several times already and this town and ryokan is always special to us. We always feel home at this ryokan by the friendly, polite and professional staff. Our favorite room with our own private onsen is just amazing and has all the amenities we need for our short stays. To really enjoy the town, the onsen water and this ryokan, highly suggest to stay at least two days to enjoy different kind of breakfasts and dinners served. Thank you to the staff of Hanamusibi and looking forward to visit you again soon.
