"We enjoyed our one night in this Ryokan. It was fun and authentic. There was a certian peace and relaxed mode that it put us on. We are a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teens). The room #24 was spacious, clean, and well kept. Yes, we wore the provided pajamas/yukata. The shower had great pressure and was also spacious. Friendly staff and food at the restaurant was yummy. The gardens were beautiful traditional Japanese gardens. As always, loved the toilet/bidet. Loved this spot!"

From the welcome greeting as you steped out of taxi through the personalized sit down check in. Explaining the property. The bell hop showed off the room, stunning view and amenities. we were overwhelmed. absolutely amazing experience. more to follow."

"Great location in Arashiyama! Not so much amenities such as gym, restaurant and etc., but this is not what we needed here. Clean, comfortable, spacious room made the stay very convenient and nice. Would love to come back!"

"The staff were so friendly and helpful, we loved the traditional breakfast, they were accommodating to my husband who can’t eat fish. They have a courtesy bus that takes you to Arashiyama which I didn’t know and so glad they suggested. The futons are hard but I got used to them. They also said their onsen is tattoo friendly. But most of the place is in such a spectacular forest it was so pretty in the late autumn I will definitely be going back. "

"The room was very clean and the staff were very friendly. However you are sleeping on the floor, we knew this before coming but didn’t realise how thin the futons would be. The dinner was okay, very traditional experience but not for me (although my partner enjoyed it). Very peaceful place. Would recommend booking a private session in the onsen if you are uncomfortable going in there nude as they don’t allow swimsuits. "
