"What a beautiful resort! Kaleb was our host checking in. Very professional and friendly. There was a small issue with our room, but it was quickly rectified beyond our expectations. The rooms were immaculate, spacious and had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The grounds were absolutely gorgeous with giant iguanas running around. We dined at the restaurant. "We loved our stay at umaya. The beach is awesome. The whole pool area/chairs/dock and set up are awesome too. So great that you can also borrow Kayaks and paddle boards (which we did) to have morning paddles when the ocean is calmer. The room was spacious and clean. The hotel itself is beautiful, the staff helpful and accommodating and the food at the hotel was good as well. There are also many restaurants and a supermarket (10 min drive) close to umaya without having to always make the drive...

"We did not expect to be able to check in several hours early, but our room was just about ready, which we were so glad of! The room was exquisitely clean and the A/C was magically cool. I enjoyed the porch swing, the poolside beer, and the attentive service over my delicious breakfast the next morning. The complimentary bottle of Marie Sharp's hot sauce was a wonderful touch!"

"Great stay staff were all wonderful room was clean and spacious. Restaurant was awesome both food and service. Pool was large has a swim up bar. We were welcomed on arrival by an alligator (leave him alone and he’ll leave you alone) and lots of Iguana’s. Would recommend renting a vehicle or golf cart the village is about a 30 minute drive. "
