"We enjoyed our two nights at the Mitre House hotel. It was such a good location, really about an 8 minute walk from Paddington Station. Restaurants are close by, very walkable or connect with the Hop On Hop Off bus just three blocks away, staff were very helpful, we thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast, excellent servers. Coffee and hot tea were available at the small bar anytime. We enjoyed visiting with other guests in the “living room” area. One gentleman shared his musical talent with us by playing beautifully on the piano one evening. Great time!"

"Complimentary upgrade to larger room, was lovely as there were 3 of us. Although the room was quite a walk from the lift it was worth it as very quiet! Breakfast had a very good selection to suit all tastes & dietary needs. Bar served good drinks & food too"

"Staff were phenomenal despite having issues with a faulty bed, moved us rooms with an upgrade and bought me flowers and a gift to apologise. After our wedding they left a special dessert in the room and on leaving personally addressed us. As well as this they allowed me to park my car on the forecourt. Exceptional x"

"Clean comfortable and friendly, good breakfast"

"We appreciated that the room was clean and the beds were comfortable, but do not feel like the room was what we were expecting. There are no pictures on Hotels.com that showed the room we actually got and we were disappointed that the bunk bed was halfway in front of the window and the ladder was blocked by an end table. The room was more cramped that we envisioned and there was no room for the 4 of us to turn around or have our luggage opened up unless it was on our bed. The bathroom was as accurately small as depicted in the picture and that was fine, but the shower did not work well. It took ages to heat up and then it felt like it was burning my skin because it was so hot - we never found a middle ground. Also, the doorknob to the bathroom was falling off. We knew the stairwell would be narrow because it is London and sure enough, it was extremely narrow. Our backpacks were fine going up it but my sister struggled with her carryon rolling suitcase. The breakfast downstairs was tasty and plentiful (loved the waffles with Nutella)! We loved that our hotel was only a 2 minute walk to the Paddington Station. Would stay here again because it was cheap, clean, and close to the station."
