"We stayed in a large basement unit. It had a mini kitchenette. We also got to use the saunas that were available to reserve for an hour a day. It was a pleasant surprise to be have a whole other area for relaxation. Loved the washer/dryer combo in the unit. "

"Great location. Plenty of food vendors in the nearby area and vending machines pretty much on every block. Hotel was clean and spacious. Only downside is that they don’t regularly clean the room. You have to book a request via a QR code link to have the room cleaned or towels replaced."

"This Cross Hotel in Kyoto exceeded all expecations for what a hotel should be. The staff at the front desk and housekeeping were friendly and greeted when we saw them. The lobby, hallways, and rooms look super clean and new. The breakfast buffet was the best we've had in all of Japan. Bedding was the best we've had among all the hotels we stayed in Japan. We enjoyed this hotel Kyoto so much that we extended our planned stay by 2 days. Felt like we were home here. Huge thank you to the fellow at the front desk who advised us to take the Hankyu trains from Kyoto to Osaka instead of getting back on the Shinkansen. Only wish was a laundry facility but there's a public laundromat 1 block away. For reference, we had room 315"
