Entrance was a little tricky to find but Mattia responded quickly and gave us directions! Must be able to climb a spiral staircase to get to room! Great location close to restaurants, bars and sites. "Excellent location as near to everything you want to see. Communication with the owner was great and we highly recommend using the Transfer from Bari Airport they organise for you. The room is quiet with the windows closed and the aircon worked. It us a unique room to stay in. The La Lopa restaurant across the street is great for the Sampling menu and then go down to its Cinema in a cave afterwards. Make sure to book in advance. Places shut between 2.30 and 4.00pm due to the heat but then open up till late at night. Matera is best in the evening when it is truly magical and quieter. We stayed for 3 days but wished we had stayed at least 4. The cystern Lungo is a unique place to visit and we'll worth the time. Also the Casa Grotto and the Church of the Rock. We recommend a walking tour with a guide but take an early evening one as it was incredibly hot during the day. If you arrive or depart by bus then the station is a 30 minute walk or take a taxi. We loved the accommodation and Matera."
