"Lovely spacious and clean room with a view of Matera. It was very central and close to all restaurants, shops etc.The host Eleonora was lovely, making us feel very welcome. The breakfast was great, self service with lots of choice meats,cheeses, fruits, breads etc and your choice of beverage. "

Then there is the super kind staff that also went out of their way to be friendly and efficient. Our cave room was beyond beautiful, tastefully decorated, one of the best showers we've had on this 2 week trip - everything was perfect!!"

My husband and I had to take turn to leave the room when we want to use it. - the hotel did a fantastic job to notify us about options of parking. It was quite a task to drag our luggage up and down from the car park to the hotel along the cobblestone road. The hotel could have offered portal service to their guests especially for elderly guests"

"The hotel is incredible and the staff is as well. We absolutely loved our stay. It was truly a unique experience. However, guests should know that because the hotel is literally incorporated into the caves, it can be physically demanding climbing all the stone stairs. People with mobility issues will definitely struggle at this hotel"

"The room was small but beautiful, spotless and had everything I needed. I had gotten lost and couldn't find the place. Messaged them and they sent someone to help me get there. The breakfast was good, well supplied. They allowed me to leave my luggage through the day after check out. It is right in the center of the town, right where you want to be. Be aware that there are steps up and down (as in the whole center of the city) when you check in and out. The staff is very amicable and helpful."
