The property was very close to St Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican. The staff were very friendly and the room was lovely and spacious in addition to being comfortable.
The hotel room was very nice and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. The people who work at the hotel are so helpful and hospitable. We felt very welcome during our stay.
The hotel and staff were fine. But unfortunately the people staying have no manners and the sound-proof of the walls is minimum. Slamming doors in the middle of the night. Having loud conversations. People need to be more conscious about others. They are not in their house! Hotel is in ok area, about 12 mins from Vatican, few restaurants around but the food was good.
Review for Hotel Michelangelo, Rome
I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Michelangelo in Rome. The hotel was comfortable, well-located, and provided excellent service. I truly appreciated the atmosphere and hospitality.
Next time I’m in Rome, I definitely plan to stay there again.
Thank you!
The hotel itself was good and in a great location next to the Vatican City. The rooms were clean and staff friendly. Restaurant is expensive and perhaps breakfast timing can be extended - saw a few turned away when arriving slightly late. All in all a decent experience without reaching that five star appeal.
We only stayed one night prior to us leaving for home the next day. It was such a convenient area to walk just about 10 minutes to the Basilica and 20 min drive to the Colosseum. It helped us get in as much as we could in Rome. Staff were attentive. The room was clean and spacious.
The hotel controls your A/C and the first night it was really hot. The next day the A/C system broke and was unbearably hot. The staff did nothing to facilitate this. I had to go and buy a fan. Talked to Expedia to see if we could change hotels, but they were able to fix the A/C. They were the only hotel I've ever stayed in that suggested tipping the staff and breakfast served was mediocre. Only good thing is that it is walking distance to the Vatican. Otherwise, I would not stay here.
The Staff was warm and courteous, the amenities offered by the hotel were great as well. Breakfast options and service was awesome as well. Definitely recommend the Hotel
Walking distance to St. Peter’s Basilica. Breakfast is ok, hot boiled egg is ice cold, crunchy bacon is steamed are few items that are not appealing. If you stay few days, you will get the same exact menu everyday; no choices. Sad thing they only provide complimentary water in rooms only on the first day of arrival even though they charge high fees every day. Saw food service trays outside for more than twelve hours outside in the hallway room.
Second time I have stayed here and it is so convenient to walk to the Vatican and then to the hop of hop off bus. The room was clean, and had plenty of space.
