The apartment is excellent and it is well located close to metro and buses. The neighbourhood environment seems to be insecure, but if you take cautions is not a problem.
Most of th problems I had with the property were not really caused by the property. However, there are a few things to keep in mind before you book.
Pros: mostly inexpensive, in a good area close to metro and the train station (as well as restaurants). Working AC. The owner/manager (not really sure who she was) was at the property at the prearranged time to drop off the key.
Cons: probably more expensive than it should be if you add on an occupant ~$30/per individual. Not the most suitable for extended stays (or if you do, expect that you will have to purchase some cleaning supplies and toiletries—if that is no problem, then you will have no problem). The shower is very small. I’m a decent sized guy and barely fit.

Good and bad
Don’t let the name of the apartment fool you.
Not in the best of areas of Rome, little bit like the ghetto. That being said, did still feel safe walking to the metro etc.
Matresses were so thin you could feel the metal frame underneath.
Couch was the same
Noisy air conditioning that kept us awake the first night. Learnt to sleep through it after that
That being said, it does what it says on the tin. Gave us somewhere to rest and eat after a long day of sightseeing.
Host very responsive when emailing and instructions were clear enough on how to enter the building and apartment and basics were in the kitchen. Pasta, oil, soap powder, washing liquid etc Can’t thank her enough for her patience after we were delayed driving from Venice.
Maybe we were spoilt with the other two apartments we stayed in at Milan and Venice which has given us not so good opinion
If it’s somewhere to just to put your head down for the night, then book away. If it’s a little more luxury you want, then I’d look for somewhere else
