"This hotel was amazing. It didn’t feel like a regular hotel. It was like staying in a private mansion. Very beautiful, historic and well maintained home. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful with anything you asked. Lisbon and Sintra have some of the friendliest people I’ve ever met. If you’ve ever wanted to stay in an old historic European manor with fairy tale charm this is your place."

"Staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good. Parking in Sintra is difficult but there was a paid lot close by. The hotel is located in a good central location, right by a bus stop to get to most major parks/palaces. "

"The breakfast was fresh; close to all amenities; staff were absolutely amazing; the property is old as in heritage so there is damp smell. They are renovating so hopefully that is addressed. "

"Food was great and the staff was excellent. Roads and restrictions made it a bit difficult to reach. They could use comfortable reading chairs in the rooms; the seating was not designed for any extended seating. No exercise facilities."

"A little confused upon arrival…. Difficult to determine how to access the property. However, provided you follow the instructions provided, someone will open the gate. Parking was secure (and plentiful). We were able to leave our bags early in the morning and went back later to check in…. They even took our bags to our room. Property is perfectly situated… short walk to restaurants, train station and attractions. Staff were amazing, and breakfast was phenomenal."
