"We stayed 3 nights as a family of four with two young kids and loved it. Spacious, clean apartment with a handy kitchenette and shared laundry. Free parking was a huge plus — no downtown parking hassle — and it’s just a 10‑minute drive to the city. Grocery store right across the street made meals easy. Perfect base for exploring Reykjavík and beyond!"

"Although clear check in instructions had been sent by email beforehand, there was information in the lobby about how to contact a staff member. I utilized this, and the staff member was really nice and helpful. The breakfast set up, selection and staff member was fabulous! Having a vehicle is an asset to use this location."

"This property is all about the location. If you want a remote feeling near the ocean, it's fantastic for that. There really isn't anyone on the property to ask questions to (at least that we found). The rooms are not sound proof, so hopefully you're neighbor is quiet, but we could hear furniture being moved and footsteps. There is a small fridge in the room and an electric kettle, but no access to a kitchen or microwave. There's heat, but no A/C (which is normal for Iceland, but the windows...

"Warm and friendly hotel. Wonderful staff, beautiful interior with lots of lighting and candles at night. Very warm and cozy. Rooms are the same with very comfortable beds and lovely bathroom amenities. They also have a happy hour in the evening, which is nice. The only downside is that it is in a rather ugly industrial building, but it turns out that many of the buildings in the city look just like it. Ugly on the outside but Beautiful inside. "I loved everything about Freyja Guesthouse & Suites! The property is quiet, warm, and comfortable. You will easily feel right at home.
