Arrived early and they didn’t have anything available which was fine. Told to come back at 3 for check in. Came back at 3:45 and was told they were giving me a king with a pull out sofa. That’s not what I reserved. Was told if I wanted the double queens I paid for I would have to wait until 8 pm. Mind you we had dinner and a concert to prep for. Offered no compensation and was told we were getting a better room. Well if you consider a pull out couch an upgrade I guess that’s for you. Will never book with this property again

Our room was clean and tidy, which we appreciated. However, our experience with the front desk staff was disappointing.It was our first time visiting New York, and we were travelling as a group of five girlfriends sharing one room. Since we were paying for five guests, my friend went to the front desk one evening to request 10 coffee cups so we would have extras available. To our surprise, the front desk staff member responded, “What are you guys having, a party in your room?” We found this comment unnecessary, rude, and unprofessional. We were simply requesting extra cups, not doing anything inappropriate. If the hotel has a limit on the number of cups they can provide, that is completely understandable. However, it could have been communicated politely rather than making assumptions or judgmental comments toward guests. As first-time visitors to New York, we were hoping for a welcoming experience. Unfortunately, this interaction left us feeling uncomfortable and disappointed. Clean rooms are important, but friendly and respectful customer service are equally important in making guests feel welcome.

Room was ready right on time and we were gifted a free upgrade to a Family Suite when they saw we were trying to fit 3 adults and 2 kids on two queen beds. So thankful for them and the ease of staying there!

The property was a 5 star for me for many reasons. First off the location. So central and close to everything we were doing. Subway station right up the street so getting everywhere was a breeze honestly. The room was spacious enough for my group of 6. The property itself was a tiny bit outdated but it sufficed since we weren’t looking to really hang out at the property. Had a couple of beers at the bar in the lobby after all the walking so that was convenient. Overall I would stay here again for the price and convenience. Good job TRYP!

The hotel was very nice. Rooms were very large for New York standard. Beds were comfortable. Located was great . Staff were not very helpful or accommodating, with the exception of the man working in the bar. Would stay there again

Staff was great. Water refill station was appreciated. Rooms are small. Outlets are faulty. Hair dryer is inconveniently attached to the wall with a short cord. Iron was faulty. Drippy sink. No bathroom counter space. Tiny closet and no place to put clothes but suitcase, and yet there was no room even in the floor for suitcase.
