Everything was perfectly adequate. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The only weird thing was that there was no partition between the beds in the lengthwise direction.

Super awesome. Front desk guy was super helpful and nice. I had the “chill room/floor” which was a private pod shared with one person. Sleep pod was great and had a locker in the room that had more than enough space. Bathroom in the room aswell. Floor has a shared kitchen, with filtered water,microwave, dishes, and a fridge. Floor also had a massage chair which was great after a long day. Only stayed one night but for the price it was great and everyone minded their business. They have a female only floor aswell which I thought was great.

The rooms are very clean and well maintained. I liked that there were lockers available to use and that they were full size. It was larger enough to fit a carry on luggage and a back pack, and had shelves and hooks that were useful to hang up clothing or store shoes. The bunk beds were pretty comfortable too and had a shelf, charging ports, hooks, a reading light, and even a small fan. The rooms were very well ventilated and even with 5 other roommates it stayed cool. I liked that there were both private and communal bathrooms/showers and they were cleaned daily by staff. There was a pretty chill living area as well to eat in or get work done. I thought that it was really cool that there was even a vending machine that sold basic necessities in case you forgot anything, and even had snacks, ramen, and drinks for a reasonable price. The only thing that I wish was that there was a stove/oven. But the kitchen was otherwise very useful and equipped with a sink, fridge, and cabinets to store stuff in so long as you labeled your items. There was also a shelving unit/area to store your luggage in in case you check in early. It is unguarded and in an open space so I would suggest a luggage lock if you plan to use the space to store your luggage.

A great pod spot in NYC that is exceptionally well organized, exceptionally clean and well maintained - with a kind and accommodating staff. It was better than I expected: everything was clean, there was a shared kitchen with tea and coffee, and it was very quiet. The luggage hold is in a common, unguarded area, so bring a luggage lock, but I had no problem with this. I would def stay here again!

Overall, it was acceptable. There was no way to charge my phone at my bed except USB A, which I don't have. There was also minimal privacy, as there were no pod panels, and the curtains only covered half of one side (useless, really). However, they recognize this shortcoming is due to NYC admin, not the hostel itself. Perhaps it will improve soon. Oh, and my bathroom light didn't work. In the end, the convenience and cleanliness of the property is hard to beat. I just think it could be better for the price.

Be prepared when booking this as a place to stay!! I am a 48 year old woman who planned a solo trip to NYC!! All I wanted was a place to sleep & shower ... nothing crazy expensive either!! At first this seemed the place till it wasn't when I got there!! When they say pods, it is BUNK BEDS in a room & you share it with about 3-5 other people depending on which size room you are in You only get a THIN top sheet like to cover up with ONE towel I paid for a BOTTOM bunk, BUT got a TOP bunk (*reminder 48 yesr old woman!!!) This place is for young people ... Privacy is NON-EXISTENT!! Only a thin curtain to shield your face, depending on how you sleep in the bed Your head are by someone's feet ... People kept going in & out the room The ONLY positive is the mattress is comfy The hostess that checked me in the 1st night was nice, helpful & understanding & there is a female ONLY floor I did feel safe there, even being in NYC I did sleep there the 1st night because I didn't have any other place to go, but I ended up checking out after the 1st night & booked a different, much better hotel down the road!! Only book this if you are young, solo & don't mind sleeping with strangers!! & If you wanna give uo your privacy!!!
