A few days in advance of my stay, Expedia asked me to update my CVC because my credit card received a new expiration date. The information didn’t properly flow through to the hotel via Expedia even though Expedia sent me a confirmation email for the updated credit info and that all was good. The hotel canceled my reservation as I was walking in the hotel lobby. I had nowhere to stay and they did nothing for me. It was a disaster and no one at the hotel could help. They were very quick to rebook my room to someone else at a much higher rate. I was literally screwed and no one cared.

So much to say here. First time staying here as the reviews were not great and it's usually booked up. And I will say if it weren't for 2 things that happened we would have not enjoyed our stay or provided a positive review. We originally got the larger Queen room and it was terrible. There was almost no closest, no room and no desk and I needed one to work on a movie for my dad's 90th birthday. The place is not that clean and the carpets looked like they had puke or something on them and very dirty. The lobby was super clean and so was the breakfast area and food was decent. But here's what happened. When we went back down to ask if they had a bigger room with a desk, Jennifer was so incredibly nice and accommodating, actually brought us to 2 rooms and one was a king with a desk and an incredible. view. In addition, Melissa and Adriana were all so kind, attentive and accommodating. They made our stay amazing. So if you stay there only get a King room and be kind to the staff as they work hard and are amazing individuals. I would go back because of them not the hotel.

One-star stay for four-star price. Hotel filthy & smelly as was room (pubic hairs stuck to shower wall). The few pieces of furniture in the tiny room were beat-up and rickety. Bathroom the size of a phone booth. The room literally had no heat source. After we inquired they sent up a wholly inadequate portable space heater. Most disgusting place I have ever stayed, including student and hikers’ hostels. Expedia should remove it from their listings.

I understand when I book at La Quinta to expect a lower set of amenities than higher starred brands, but I do expect for my reservation to be honored and for the staff to be able to execute on their jobs like check in. My room, which I executed the pre-check in for ahead of my arrival was given to another traveler with the same first name and a different last name. I had pre-paid and added my credit card for incidentals in the online check in. Unforgivable. Unnecessary stress, and the attendant wasn’t empowered to fix the error and the manager was offsite. The location is incredible but not worth the stress.

The bed was clean and comfortable. The staff cleaning the rooms and breakfast area were very pleasant. The breakfast area was modern and clean. The food ok, but know fruit except for older bananas. The first night we arrived we had to call the main office as we had checked in but did not have a key yet. There was no one present for about 45 minutes. No note, no information for our party of 5 people. We were tired from our travels and hungry. The carpet through the entire building needs to be replaced or cleaned. The outside had old dead bushes by the front door. The containers in the shower were not refilled and full when we arrived. The cleaning staff were trying their best to keep up with the demand. The elevator is tiny and so slow. My husband helped a woman in a wheel chair get out of the elevator. The place seems very busy and the price is high for the condition of the two rooms we used, however, it was totally about the location of this hotel to Central Park to watch our daughter run the NYC Marathon and our first trip to NY that we decided to come and stay here. We have all stayed at La Quinta in the Seattle/Tacoma areas before, so we thought we knew the type of place it would be. The manager and assistant office people were pleasant, and helped us store our luggage before we caught our flight home. Just feel this place is not real clean, has a dirtiness to it from the front door to the rooms. The breakfast area was fine. Sorry for negative review, but true.
