So quiet but only 5 min walk to bars / restaurants. 10 min stroll (or free shuttle bus) to the beautiful kata beach. We enjoyed every minute of our 2 weeks."

"Hotel was nice and the staff were kind and accomodating. Food and other amenities were excellent as well. Would definitely recommend to first time travelers to Phuket. Only down side is the location. It's hard to explore nearby places by foot, because the hotel is situated atop of a hill. Nevertheless, it is easy to get by with local grab drivers and other free hotel pick-ups. Overall a great and remarkable experience."

"Hotel is really nice. Pool table and table football for teens. Nice pool and beds. Staff are fantastic. Everyone really helpful and accommodating. There’s some noise from Kata works but outside hotels control. There was a town power cut while we were there but the hotel had a decent back up generator. We all enjoyed our stay. 😁"

Our room was gorgeous, the views were stunning, and the service from the staff was warm and welcoming from start to finish. The location was perfect for us—quiet and romantic, but still close enough to explore Kata and everything Phuket has to offer. The beach and pools were beautiful, and the entire property had such a relaxing, luxurious feel. We especially loved how attentive and friendly everyone was. It truly felt like a special experience and made our honeymoon even more memorable. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend The Shore at Katathani to anyone looking for a romantic and relaxing stay in Phuket!"

A scenic beach on the southwest coast of Phuket, Kata Beach is actually two beaches that are separated by forestry terrain. It truly is a gem with an old village feeling, picturesque beach, clear water and stunning hilly backdrop. The water here is calm and great for swimming, making it a popular family destination, though from May to November it is a popular spot for surfers.
Don’t MissThe stunning 1.5km long beach and clear blue water is what Kata Beach is all about, though there are also some activities to enjoy and a few things to see.
Water lovers can go snorkelling, fishing, kayaking, windsurfing and parasailing or even hire a Hobie cat, while in the monsoon season Kata Beach is fantastic for surfing.
If you prefer to stay on land try these: hiking to the Karon Viewpoint on the northern end of the beach, playing a round of mini-golf at Dino Park, going surfing year round at Surf House Phuket or visiting the 18th century Kata Temple.
Restaurants and BarsVisitors will be pleased with the eating and drinking options at Kata Beach, which are lined along the beach and in Kata centre. You don’t even have to leave the beach to enjoy a meal, as vendors pass by selling ice cream, sandwiches, fresh fruit and other snacks. You should expect to pay more for a meal here than on other parts of the island, as they cater predominantly to tourists. For cheaper eats, head to the twice weekly Kata Fresh Market. Bars to suit all tastes line the road in Kata centre, from cool laid-back reggae bars to trendy beach clubs.
ShoppingMost of the shops in Kata Beach are geared towards tourist and sell souvenirs, handicrafts, T-shirts, beachwear and jewellery. These are all located along Kata Road and Patak Road. For more options, take a taxi to Phuket Town or Patong.
