"Room was lovely. We were in a corner so no view and just other windows outside so not much light came in but that's just how it is some times. A kettle in the room would have been great. Found it odd a hotel of that caliber didn't have one. Otherwise the staff was great, location amazing, good value for money"

"We had a pleasant stay overall. The hotel was comfortable and met our expectations. The only downside was early morning noise, as our room faced the front of the building, which could be disruptive for light sleepers. Aside from that, everything else was fine and the stay was satisfactory."

"It’s a great location for exploring NYC. Only issues is really the age of the hotel. Classed as 4 star and initial impressions make the hotel look amazing. But it’s the details that are lacking. It’s tired. Our room was comfortable but had loose taps, and the bathroom needed a complete overhaul imo! But beds are comfortable. Tick Tock diner is great - lovely staff if not a little NYC attitude which can be seen as rude on initial impressions. But you get used to it. In general good hotel but 4 star rating is being generous. More like 3 star. Needs a lot of money spending on it to bring it up to present day expectations."

"Small space with huge advantages! Staff was helpful and awesome with answering questions and offering free tours daily. Location was the best ! Breakfast was great . Lounge very nice and cozy. The bar is very nice. Great vibe in the lobby area the decor and music were great. View from my window was awesome ! Short walk to everywhere and subway literally next door! I highly recommend. Very affordable as well."

"This was THE WORST hotel I have stayed in. 1) I needed to put some items in the safe & I could not get it to work. I called the office about it and they sent up a maintenance person & he could not get it to properly work. So I could not use the safe at all. 2) I arrived on a very warm day in New York & the staff could not be bothered to turn on some AC before I got there. The room was 88. I turned on the AC thermostat to 73 and after a 5 hour period when I was at a play in town, it was still at least 80 degrees. I contacted the office and the gal said she could not do anything about it. She suggested I open the window. Well the AC unit is screwed to the window so you cannot open it. It was too hot to sleep. So I lowered the thermostat to 61 degrees. Overnite it only dropped to 78 in the room. Still too hot to sleep. 3) the shower nozzle would not stay in the holder provided for it & would just drop to the floor. The only thing I could do with it was slide it behind the rod half way down. 4I registered for this room online so they had all my information. When I got there, they took a copy of my drivers license & ran my credit card for a deposit. Then they handed me a paper where I had to handwrite in all the information I had just given them. Why? It was the slowest ever hotel check in that I have ever had and I was running late for my play. I barely made it. Their check in process is totally inefficient. Spend your money elsewhere"
