"Be careful with the booking. Hotels.com stated free return airport transfers then denies it was included, said it was hotels responsibility who said it was transport companies responsibility, we ended with private transport via dunes tours (excellent company) and we will get refund but it was hard work. The hotel itself is very clean food is good property is excellent condition, pools are well maintained 10/10"

"The rooms were clean, I don’t think they change the bed sheets very often. Too noisy for us , to many young drunken people, we’ll be going to an adult resort next time, the only reason we went there was the price. The staff was good and helpful called the night before for a bell boy to get our luggage in the morning, and they were late, almost missing our shuttle. In our experience we would go somewhere else next time "

"The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. Bar was well stocked. Food was mediocre at best. We ate at the specialty restaurants. Frida’s was overpriced and inflated tips. We found ourselves going to Sunset for their buffet as it was better."

"I've been visiting the original Solmar since the 70's. It definitely feels like a budget property next to Grand Solmar. Would be nice to see the rooms updated/freshened...same tile work since the 80's-90's. Also update/upgrade dining/menus in the primary restaurant adjoining the pool. The A/C worked great, however, whenever I had it on while sleeping, I woke up with scratchy throat and runny nose. Makes me wonder when the vents were last cleaned. I had friends stayinging in the Grand Solmar so was able to join them for dinner. The restaurants are stunning, but food I had two nights was just OK. Nothing I'd reorder, and disappointed in the seafood...surprising considering the location. Best things I had there were breakfast burrito in the Deli and chicken and cheese quesadilla by the pool. That being said, the Solmar is in one of the best locations in all of Mexico. Glad it hasn't been ruined by all the neighboring growth over the years. "

"Great staff! The Rooftop 360 pool was incredible, best views of Cabo. Beach Club was also fantastic. Rooms were spacious, well designed but can use more cabinets/drawers for clothes."
