The resort was wonderful! The rooms were nicely furnished and clean. We felt very at home there. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The beach was great for swimming and lounging. We also enjoyed the pools and hot tubs. The food was great, we especially loved our steak dinner at El Casona!

The hotel is really a condo project with large units the present like villas. We also stayed at the Puerto Vallarta Villa Estancia and it was almost identical. The service is good. The food is good. The quality of the resort is excellent. Pools are beautiful and the beach is nice. However, the ocean current in that area can be very strong and it makes it difficult to get in and out of the water. It will sometimes flip you and kill you around in the waves. We saw many people lose those shoes, hats, and sunglasses while we were there after falling into the ocean. The only issue that we had was that the Villa group has three hotels there next to each other and Gusta Villa Stacia can go to any of the hotels and use any of the restaurants if they were on the all inclusive program. However, if you have friends staying at one of the other hotels, they cannot come to your hotel and use any of the amenities, including the restaurants and the beach and pool. This makes things very difficult. There should be a program that allows for you to pay a small fee for your guest to come over.
