"We had a lovely stay at Agriturismoteo. The family that runs the place was really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was home cooked and we were served plenty of fruit and berries that had been grown at the farm. They charged 5 euro/day for AC (which we didn't use, but would recommend others to!). "Nun ja. Als wir vor etwa 12 Jahren schon im Albergo Italia genächtigt haben waren wir begeistert. Die riesige Terrasse der King Suite (Zi 115) mit Blick über die Sassi hat uns begeistert. Man hat sich damals gut vorstellen können, dass Mel Gibson während der Dreharbeiten zur „Passion Christi“ hier gewohnt hat. Aber Matera hat sich verändert. Unzählige Privatzimmer und B&B‘s sind entstanden und man kann sich bei dieser Auswahl heute kaum noch vorstellen, dass sich jemand mehr als nur eine Nacht...

"Beautiful property in the heart of an amazing city. Staff were very helpful and friendly. They made a delicious birthday cake for our son and we had a great evening in the restaurant with excellent food and service. One of our rooms did however smell of damp and the door didn’t lock properly, it is a cave but none of the other rooms were like this, it wasn’t pleasant but they happily moved us to another one. Small details could be improved, bathrobes worn thin and room service trays left in the rooms and only collected when repeatedly asked. Otherwise a gorgeous hotel and a lovely stay. "
