"Lovely hotel in the best position for the old town of Funchal and taking the cable car to the botanical gardens. Good breakfast & great views if you have booked a sea front room. Nice pool area with plenty of sun beds. We had hired a car so their secure parking for just €10/day was useful. Would stay here again. "

"Our third visit to this hotel and as usual it was excellent. Staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. It’s a nice walk, mostly downhill, to the centre of Funchal or there is a frequent and reliable bus service which stops a hundred metres from the front door. Breakfast has everything you’d want and although we didn’t eat in the restaurant in the evening it was an option and there are plenty of quality and affordable restaurants nearby. "
