"Staff are very kind"

"We were forced to book this hotel last minute due to a cancelled flight and no other options. It was incredibly expensive and not worth the cost. The hotel is very old and outdated and the wifi does not work. We were able to check in late and the room was clean but I would not stay there again for that price. Definitely taking advantage of low inventory on the island"

"Great rooms and service. Guests skew quite old which was a bit comical as two younger travelers in our mid-20s surrounded by a sun toasted retirement community"

"We loved our stay at sentido! The only thing to be warned about is the parking situation. There is not much parking available, and most spots you need to pay for parking."

"Unfortunately I would say our experience wasn’t great. The balcony door was broken and when asked to have our room switched she told us not to worry it’s safe. Being that we were on a girls trip. We didn’t feel safe at all and the balcony was on the first floor. So people can easily just walk right it. That ruined the trip it self. The space it self was clean and huge. Very roomie but that situation didn’t allow us to sleep and we had put chairs and table by the door not that would have much but...

"Beautiful property with an excellent layout. Staff and service were impeccable. We enjoyed several restaurants including Pau de Lume and Nikkei on premises. We also enjoyed massages and use of the immense Laurea Spa. We would definitely stay here again."

"The location, roof top pool/bar and beautiful room/amenities were perfect for our short stay in Funchal. Easy private parking was also a plus as we had a car to explore the island."

"The hotel stay was fantastic and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and attentive. The sea view pool was great (especially the pool guy..funny and prideful of his work). The breakfast was delicious. The only thing that needs to be upgraded are the pillows but still ok. Book it and go!"

"Centrally located in town. Tons of restaurants and bars to pick from. Great hotel overall. Only disadvantage is parking is either on street or in a parking garage requiring you to bring your luggage too and from where you park."

The breakfast was wonderful way to start the day, a vairty of food and plenty, and hot or cold appropriately, and very welcoming, clean and lots of space. The front dest staff very courteous, helpful with my requests and kind. It was wonderful stay, thank you very much for the great serivce. "

"Clean, comfortable rooms with an amazing breakfast buffet. Views from rooms where amazing. Close to airport. Very helpful and friendly staff. Rooms a bit dated and pool area could use a refresh but overall a great stay. This made our canceled flight experience a bit better :-)"
