"The hotel is fairly high up the hillside, so the drive up is exciting! The hotel itself is amazing. We had a great corner room and balcony with amazing sea and valley views. The staff were very friendly. The only downside was the restaurant was only open for breakfast during our stay, so dinners had to be elsewhere. "

"We had a wonderful time here and can’t wait to go back! We spent 5 days here as part of our honeymoon and loved it. We spent our mornings out on tours and the hotel packed lunches for us to take with, and our afternoon by the pool sipping sangria. Can’t go wrong with that! It’s a very small resort but it made it that much better - laid back, quiet, good selection of food options for me that were gluten free, and friendly staff "

"Rien a redire, tout était parfait de la chambre au restaurant, au spa, hammam, sauna. Le personnel est gentil, accueillant et souriant et au petit soin , vraiment au top! En janvier le parking souterrain sera opérationnel ainsi que le soin massage. A notre arrivée dans la chambre nous attendait une collation avec un bien de Madère de 10 ans d'âge vraiment excellent 😁. Le petit déjeuner et variés puis présenté avec beaucoup de goût et de raffinement. Nous y étions pour la semaine de Noël et même...

La vue de notre chambre était magnifique, surtout au lever du soleil où pouvait admirer le "montain glow". "We thoroughly enjoyed our 7night stay at The Residence (30/8/25-5/9/25) and would definitely recommend. The apartment was modern, clean, very roomy, bedroom, 2 bathrooms, lounge area, dining area, a very well equipped kitchen and balcony. Staff were welcoming and friendly.
