"Staffs were really friendly and so helpful. Room is very clean and there was daily housekeeping. Soap and shampoo and towel was available Breakfast buffet was amazing😋 There was 2 swimming pool near the beach And finally the great view from the room. This hotel is close to bentota railway station but sometimes no stop there. Totally that was perfect experience "

"First time in Sri Lanka. Simply one of the best hotels we have stayed in anywhere. Friendly, courteous staff who couldn't do enough for us, a superb room with a balcony offering a beautiful beach view. We stayed five nights and didn't bother to eat anywhere else - the food was excellent. We wanted to take the chef home with us. We took long walks along the beaches and spent a lot of time in the wonderful hotel grounds and by the very stylish infinity pool. We want to visit Sri Lanka again soon...

"We were welcomed with big smiles and fresh complimentary juices. Our room was upgraded without additional fees. Good variety of breakfast. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Mendis & Sudish who work at Breeze Restaurant. The hotel and surroundings are very neat, also easy access to the beach. Near to seafood restaurants. "The hotel is one of the worst hotels we have stayed in. I have been to this hotel as a child and it was a fantastic hotel back then but now its gone down so much! The room was dirty and had a terrible smell.The room looked like it wasn't clean for years. We complained to the manager and he move us to another room and it was also very dirty and my partner showed the manager the dirty parts of the room and the manager agreed that the room is not clean. "Firstly I have to say that I am totally unaccustomed to leaving negative reviews, but sadly I have to say "don't go" to this, no doubt once very classy, little boutique hotel. Before going any further it is worth mentioning that the staff (we only saw 3!) were lovely, extremely well meaning, and obliging. (We're guessing/deducing, severely let down by an absentee owner). Apart from the staff, the only other attribute was the superb position, overlooking and directly onto the river estuary....

"It was wonderful to return here - I love this hotel. The gardens are beautiful and the beach is clean and fabulous for swimming and long walks. The staff are outstanding. In many years of travel I don’t think I’ve ever seen a hotel staff member more dedicated than the pool guy (pool is great for swimming laps too - 25m). The housekeeping team were great too - and surprised me daily with towel ‘art’ and flowers on the bed. Excellent food too! "

"The resort is the labor of love of Chamal the owner. 9 private and beautifully done villas set in the middle of nature. We had lunch and dinner everyday in the restaurant by the river. Loved the property, service was warm and friendly and seafood was superb. Great find!"

Avani Delight.
"A very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Can’t fault anything. We were half board and there was an excellent buffet selection including freshly cooked and bbq to suit everyone’s tastes. For me I especially enjoyed the salads and non spicy dishes but the local breakfast I sampled was easy on the palate. Wish I could’ve sampled everything on offer. Loved the way the salads were presented in mini pots as well. We were given breakfast boxes on request to take away our pastries which was excellent. Enjoyed the sunset walks and there’s a shallow sheltered lagoon with soft sand underfoot and that was simply fabulous. Pool was lovely too. Room was serviced very well by Isuru who unfortunately wasn’t there when we left so hope he sees that. Very creative towel sculptures left on the beds everyday and lovely turn down. Thank you Avani! A most enjoyable stay. "
