"Our room stank of mildew. My husband thinks it was the seal on the shower. We had been traveling quite a bit and my watch had automatically changed every time we changed a time zone. Apparently this time it did not. We paid for breakfast the next morning and got up and went down at what we thought was 9:30. Turns out it was 10:30. We explained what happened to the front staff and even showed them my watch. We asked if they would apply the breakfast we had missed out on to the next day and they refused. It wouldn’t have cost them anything but no, they would not. Our room was hot. We had to go down and get extra pillows. I asked for ice as I gave a knee injury and was told I could go to the restaurant and ask them myself. Everywhere else we stayed and asked pillows were brought to us as well as the ice. It just wasn’t a very friendly or hospitable place. We also felt nickeled and dimed. We asked for something, I can’t remember now what it was but they said it would be extra. We asked for help to get a taxi from the airport to their hotel and they would get it for us but it turned out to be almost twice the rate! (They said $95 and we paid $52 including the tip!). We got it ourselves. They also lock the doors and you have to ring a bell or use your card. It made us feel we were in an unsafe area and was nerve-racking."

"A spectacular stay with amazing staff! Had a great experience with Jose at the front desk, we had arrived early, they held our bags until our room was ready. We were able to go downstairs to the lobby and use the restrooms to freshen up from our flight. We went out to the city and came back in the afternoon. Went right to our room where our bag was waiting for us. This place is a gem, the neighborhood is very safe and wonderful places to eat right around the corner. The rooms are very nice! I will definitely stay here again! Thank you so much for your hospitality!"

"Exceptionally tiny rooms where they don’t turn on AC UNTIL THEY FEEL IT IS NECESSARY. Nice bathroom that takes up 1/2 of the entire room space. Getting extra towels was initially a massive hassle but after two days of complaining they started giving some out. Oh, and don’t think about getting an extra blanket! International incident in the making. In addition to all this. There’s a bar called Luckys directly across the street, mind you we were on the 6th floor and we could hear all the drunkards screaming, fighting, laughing, singing between 11pm all the way til almost 7am, so if you expect to sleep with the window open because your room is hot and stuffy, good luck! "

"Staff at the reception did not speak English very well. The housekeepers did not speak English at all and were rude. I asked for extra towels and they gave me looks. I stayed for 7 days none of the days, the housekeeper or reception asked if I needed anything. The lady at the breakfast also did not speak in English and was also short tempered with English speaker. My room faced the cemetery. Location was good near the subway. I don’t think I would stay there again due to these reasons."
