"Nice accommodations very clean and comfortable beds. Good size rooms too. This accommodation is away (5 minute drive) from the main downtown Banff area but has a very convenient shuttle service. There is also free downtown parking at the train station with a quick walk to the Main Street (Banff Street) where the very affordable public transit runs very often and to every corner of Banff."

"We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Canoe. The property itself is beautiful, with incredible views and relaxing hot tubs that made it easy to unwind after a day of exploring. The thoughtful touches really stood out—complimentary coffee was appreciated each morning, and the included bus passes were incredibly convenient for getting around without worrying about parking. Sudden Sally, the onsite restaurant, was another highlight. Their happy hour was the best we found in town, and the bakery items were outstanding. The cinnamon bun is somehow even better than it looks and is a must-try! Everything about our stay exceeded expectations, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommend Hotel Canoe to anyone visiting the area."

"Room and property was maintained. Couple things that would have been nice: either microwave in the rooms or shared lounge area. Wished there was more sound proofing in the walls. We were in the first floor and could hear TV the next door neighbor. We could hear upstairs neighbors walking and kids running and stomping. This was not pleasant and probably deterred us from returning."

"I am torn for giving the Fairmont Banff Springs a 3-star rating, however I just couldn't get over the tiniest hotel bathroom I've ever seen at a luxury property nonetheless. I do have to say that the service at this property is outstanding. The Fairmont Gold experience is fantastic as was the amazing Gold Concierge, Oliver. When I checked in I was assigned an accessible room which I was disappointed with. The concierge on duty assured me they would try to find me another room starting the next day, and in hindsight I almost wish I'd kept the accessible room as it was much larger with a huge bathroom compared to what I got in my next room. Oliver was so very kind as upgraded me to a junior suite on the Gold level with amazing views. The room was absolutely lovely aside from the tiniest bathroom I've ever seen in any hotel, much less a luxury property. I understand that the age of this property necessitated some creative bathroom locations due to plumbing, however this is on the ridiculously small side. It was impossible to event close the door with one person standing in the bathroom. Otherwise, everything was fantastic with my stay: Fairmont Gold 5/5: The Gold reception area with dedicated valet and check-in makes the gold experience feel like a hotel within a hotel. The gold floor is so special with a dedicated concierge (say hello to Oliver for me :-), and the best lounge food and beverages I've experienced. The breakfast is out of this world, and the evening food is"

"The staff were friendly and welcoming from beginning to end, which made us feel very comfortable throughout our stay. The views from the balcony were absolutely stunning, and the location was peaceful since it was a little away from downtown. At the same time, it was still convenient because there was a bus available nearby. Since we were traveling with children, being able to cook our own meals was very helpful, and we also appreciated that dishwasher detergent was provided."
