What I love the most is the private onsen in the room. It's in a semi-open space (not in the room, but under a roof kind of in the back balcony).
The private onsen refills itself, and temperature regulated. It was amazing.

We stayed here for 3 nights and had the best time, it's about a 5-10 min walk to the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, we got up around 5:30am-6am and their were no crowds, we were able to catch the sunset as well, we took so many pictures, it was absolutely beautiful. "If you had to choose word to describe this hotel, given there were many superlatives, I would say ‘inviting.’ The aesthetics are soothing yet modern. The lobby/bakery has an intimacy. Breakfast preparation was super (choose the eggs Benedict with salmon).
