The area around there is perfect in the sense that it is quiet, but there’s outstanding dining and you could walk to the older part of town. "Very nice property, view of the castle and right at Grassmarket. So much to see and do only 10-15 walk away in this perfect location. Questions prior to staying were answered promptly and clearly by the staff. They were very friendly and attentive when it came to questions about the local area and transport. "It's a central location in old town: 5 minutes from Castle and 2 minutes to Royal mile. Victoria street is next over so it gets a 5 star for location. That comes with its own downside, loud noise from bars was audible well into the night even with the windows closed. The apartment is very clean and spacious. Living room and kitchen are downstairs and king bed and sofa bed are upstairs. We were 2 adults and a kid and were comfortable. The only problem was the thermostat which had its own mind....
