"The staff were so nice, friendly and helpful. If it were not for them my score would have been lower. The hotel itself was fine, but I would not say soundproof. Each night I stayed there were ambulance/police sirens that could easily be heard. Also loud music and loud vehicles could be heard from my room. You can’t hear regular street noise, but I was woken up more than a few times."

"The location was amazing and most of the staff were friendly. It was very clean but the room setup was awkward. The bed was up against the wall so if the person sleeping on the side next to the wall had to get up prior to the other person they would have to crawl over that person to get out of bed."

"Beautiful hotel with small but perfectly formed rooms. We were upgraded to a room with a view of the castle which was tiny but lovely. The bar area is fantastic and the Whisky Bar was our downfall (thanks to Dario who is an expert!) Will definitely return"

"Staff was great and our room was fine. There is a nightclub below the hotel so Fri and Sat night the lobby, bar & restaurant area is packed. Very young crowd. Sunday morning at breakfast went to the bathrooms at the restaurant and they were gross. Found 1 toilet out of all their stalls that wasn’t disgusting from the festivities the night before. Better attention needs to be put towards this for the hotel guests. Other than this nice hotel to stay at. Centrally located to walk to all...

"We stayed in the deluxe 2 bedroom unit and it was very spacious and clean. The beds were comfy and the bedrooms had black out curtains. I sent a message in advance asking for the beds in one of the rooms to be separated and they were each made with their own duvet and bedding, which we really appreciated (they were separated a couple of inches which was sufficient for us). We arrived around 12:30 and were able to store our bags at the The Scotsman Hotel. I sent a message asking if the unit was...

"Daily service was unexpected and lovely to get fresh towels so often. Windows not super operable but older so to be expected. Clean and very central. "

"Very well located, spacious and well kept. Unfortunately they put us in a room right at the entrance of their second building in our first night. Our bed was right in front of the main door, so anyone could see us and we could hear every one that was coming in + the cleaning team at 6am next morning. Also the air conditioning was not working. Next day they moved us to a far better room that I believe should better reflect their standards. Make sure you don’t get that 1st family room!"
