We loved staying at Eleven Stafford Street and would absolutely stay here again! If you are looking for a cute, cozy and comfortable stay in Edinburgh, this is the spot for you. The room was very clean and had so many thoughtful details and amenities. Check in was easy and we had everything we needed during our stay. Highly recommend staying here!!
Lovely stay at a luxury townhouse in the West End close to New Town and the Royal Mile. Just a few minor issues like the bathroom was a bit tight, no in-room safe, and the mattress was slightly saggy at one side.
Had a lovely stay here. Convenient location and the room whilst small was comfortable and had everything we could need, and then some. Would definitely recommend.
The communication before the trip and first day of reservation was excellent. A really nice place to stay -- beds are comfortable, clean and some very nice extras in the room when compared with hotels. I'd stay here again.
This was an absolute dream of a stay. It was a great location - quiet but still very walkable. The beds were comfortable, bathroom was great, etc. The housekeeping and staff were lovely, as well, including calling us when my friend left her chargers at the hotel. Whenever I come back and visit, it will always be here!
The property itself is nice and tastefully decorated. Stayed in the Belford room, and it was nicely presented but SMALL. There was nowhere to put luggage, no storage, and only 4 hangers. I was travelling from Canada so had a large suitcase that I had to leave on the floor and live out of. I shared the room with my sister and we were constantly falling over each other. The bathroom was tiny and I have no idea how a larger built person would even fit in there.
The room was also very noisy. Every time someone flushed the toilet in the room above, it was so loud that it made me jump (and woke me up with a start in the middle of the night). Also…seagulls (which the property has no control over) were extremely noisy outside. The windows are single pane glass. I had two pretty sleepless nights.
We had a stunning view of dumpsters lol.
On a positive note, the property is in a good location and easy to get to. It might be nicer to stay in one of the larger rooms, but I would only recommend the small room if you are travelling solo with no luggage!
The room was really nice, the bed was comfortable, the decor was pretty, the amenities were nice, and the location was fantastic. I had two things that prevent me from giving it 5 stars. Granted I know some of the rooms are different size, but the Belford room is so small and cramped we barely had anywhere to put our luggage. The other thing that is a pet peeve of mine, everytime the person upstairs flushed the toilet or took a shower upstairs you could hear it very loudly.
Room was not cleaned during our stay although it was mentioned it will be at 11am daily. We came home at 3:30pm and nothing was done. Also the Wifi did not work Friday afternoon for several hours. Location is great but overall to me an overrated and overpriced accommodation.
