"Clean room, great staff, but everything people say about the noise is right - the noise over the weekend is unbearable, at least in rooms facing the street. Bed could be more comfortable (way too soft), bit that's a personal preference. That shouldn't take away from the overall score, though. "

"We stayed for a few days in February and could not have been happier with the entire experience, from check-in to our unfortunate back-to-reality departure! We loved the pool area and especially loved the location of the hotel in downtown Playa. We did hear music on the weekend evenings but with earplugs or our little handheld sound machine, we were absolutely fine. We will stay here again!"

"Probably the worst hotel I stayed at. First it is located on the main street so there is noise all day and night. Second they have a bar at the top of the hotel that can play loud music until 2am. Third, they gave me a room just behind the reception and the staff is always talking with people or on the phone constantly, even at night. When you ask kindly to keep it down, they still continue. Basically, if you want to sleep, dont go there. I asked for another room but they said all the rooms were occupied, which was a lie. The saff is super rude and dont care about the clients. When you ask to talk to the manager, they say no. They dont clean the room during your stay. The room is very basic, bed was ok but shower was leaking, the sink faucet was broken. Well nothing was ok with this hotel, look away and find a decent one! But this is not where you want to sleep!"

"This was our second time in Playa Del Carmen and we specifically chose to come back to Playa Palms. As of writing this 4/2026, there is a new manager that was not there when we were there in 2021. She is not good with customer service. She accused us of breaking the lock on the door and didn't allow another guest, who had just checked out that day, to use the restroom after check out. Despite this bad encounter with this woman, we still had a great time and will be back. Hopefully we won't see her. Carlos and the rest of the staff were great. I can't praise them enough, sooo friendly. The hotel is close to everything you may need. It's quiet and not overcrowded."

"The AC mini split is right above the bed and was leaking right on our head. There were no soaps in the bathroom and none in the kitchen. The water gets turned off in the morning. We had a morning flight put and were leaving the condo at 5 am. We were not able to wash our hands or brush our teeth. Condo location is good, few steps to ADO which us convenient. "
