This was my second visit, and I’ll continue to go back whenever I’m in Paris. The hotel is very comfortable with a great location, and the staff are just the best!
This hotel is very quaint and perfectly located near great attractions and restaurants. 2 blocks away is a fantastic open air market with very fresh produce and gifts. The breakfast is wonderful and the staff very friendly!
Staff was very helpful. Clean, really appreciated the in-room refrigerator, coffee and tea service. Extremely convenient to major sites, the batobus, metro and train stations. We were able to take the train to and from airport directly without switching lines. Great restaurants and eats nearby.
We loved our stay here. From the moment we walked in we felt comfortable and welcome. The staff speak many languages and are so friendly. It made checking in so easy. The breakfasts were perfect and the location is ideal. Walking distance to the Métro, Île de la Cité, and the Sorbonne area. And you can enjoy a drink in the lounge in the evening too. We’ll definitely stay here again if we return to Paris.
Great location but thei room was had as a “prestige” room was really small. I get that they are old buildings with odd layout but when you can’t quite go around the bed, you know that there s a layout problem. Very friendly and helpful staff otherwise
The all staff are really kind.
It was big help for me that early check in and out were accepted, and they checked the route to my destination.
Thank you!
The hotel is perfectly situated to walk the left bank. It is close to Notre Dame, Shakespeare and Company, shopping on the right bank and the Louvre. The room was very clean and well maintained every day. Because we were there a week and this is a small hotel, we got to know the staff such as Menel and Mohammed and they took very good care of us. Remember that it is center city so the rooms are generally small at most hotels. We were very pleased with our visit and the restaurants nearby were very good.

Location is incredible. As my first time in Paris, the Latin quarter was recommended by a friend and I get why, it’s perfect.
The reception staff here were lovely however the cleaning staff just didn’t do anything except make the bed. Never replenished teas, water, even toilet roll.
My only real complaint is that the shower absolutely stunk from the drains, I mean pure cabbage/sewage smell. At first we thought it was the toilet but once we closed he shower door the smell was slightly less, but it was so putrid it made us gag a few times. Bed is super comfy which ultimately is the main thing.
+ Location great
+ Room was clean and no bed bugs
+ Fridge in the room
+ Air condition
+ Nice and friendly staff
- Breakfast was not good. It was served 7-10.30 but if you went at 9:45 there was no bread left or warm food. I had to ask for white bread and then I had two slices. There was no good cheese for bread either. No fresh vegetables except tomatoes. Coffee from machine and not good. Possibility to fry your egg by yourself.
- there was a smell of mold in the room if you let the bathroom door open and window closed
- no easy access after 1am when you must ring the doorbell to get inside
- in the first two days the shower worked nomally but in the last morning there was not water properly
We had an excellent stay at Mercure Paris Notre Dame Saint Germain des Prés. The location is perfect—central, walkable, and close to Notre Dame, Saint-Germain, cafés, restaurants, and transportation. The staff was very helpful and welcoming, and the hotel was clean and comfortable.
The room was a little small for two people, but that is expected in central Paris and was not a problem since we mostly used it for sleeping and resting. Overall, a great stay and I would definitely recommend this hotel.
