Quiet corner, lots of food around!

Tucked in a corner near Place de la République means it’s quiet enough to rest while near the subways and buses. There’s a water dispenser for drinking in the lobby. Glad I brought my own bottle. Plenty of eats around. Staff are helpful!

The hotel is what to expect for a relatively inexpensive hotel in Paris. The front desk staff was very friendly. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was great. The area around hotel is gross. The area suffers from a serious homelessness and drug addict problem. We travelled all around Paris and this was clearly an epicentre of the city’s social problems. If I could do it over, I’d stay somewhere nicer for a bit more.

Room was expensive for what it was

Basic Room, very small. I had to switch rooms because the first one had a nasty smell. The 2nd room was ok. No shower caps or other amenities. However, hotel staff were great and helpful, offered me early check-in. Breakfast was ok, the usual bread, toast, croissants, cereal, chicken slices, ham Slices, cheese, cereal etc. boiled eggs. Fruit. Stock was really low on Sunday, no fruit or sliced bread left. Location was good and easy to get to from the Eurostar station. Took me 15 minutes. I would stay again

First the good parts. The staff was truly amazing. They spoke several languages and we're always willing to help (opening wine, switching rooms, giving directions). They made my stay special. I also like the location close to many supermarkets and restaurants. Metro République is a block away. Now the not so great. The property itself is in need of renovation. If you have mobility issues it will be difficult to go down to the basement for breakfast. The rooms vary tremendously in size. I settled on a second room on the 5th floor, that despite the low ceiling had windows that actually opened to let fresh air in. I would stay again if the price were right.

The hotel was near to metro and buses. Very near 3 mins walk to Republique square, shops and restaurants. I felt that some of the staff at the front desk were inexperienced and comprehension of English was limited. Which was unfortunate as i usually can rely on Ibis style chain hotels

The only reason why I'm ratinf this hotel this way it's because I contacted Expedia long time ago and let them know I wouldn't be able to travel so I was requesting to cancel my reservation and get a reimbursement. It was an emergency and I feel like the hotel could have done more to be helpful. I was very looking forward to travelling and staying at this hotel but the poor management preferred to not make an exception and have a customer dissatisfied just because of lack of empathy or flexibility, and greed. Next time I travel to Paris in May I'll make sure not to stay at this hotel and will not recommend it to my friends.
