Solid 3 star. Walkable to Gare du Nord, subway and high traffic areas. No air conditioning. The in-room portable fan wasn’t the best solution. The staff were great. Friendly and able to talk in English (without judging our poor French skills)

Excellent places beside metro and easily walkable from Gare du Nord. 25 min walk to Montmartre. Would go back for sure. Lots of little shops etc around for groceries, croissants etc.

The shower was great and bathroom very clean, the bed comfortable. It's near the Gare du Nord, which is handy. The room was really small. You could hear a lot of plumbing from other rooms in the night. The road was often very quiet but suddenly very noisy and we didn't sleep very well as a result.

Good hotel for the price

Nice hotel for what it is, no bells and whistles, very steep spiral staircase to the studio apartments, we didn’t mind that as we are young enough, but if your elderly this would not be ideal, rooms were cleaned regularly but the cleaning left a very strong chemical smell that lingered all day afterwards. Reception staff were nice and friendly, we were allowed to leave our suitcases in a locked room when we arrived several hours prior to check in without any hassle. The location is ok, lots of restaurants within 5-15 minutes walk and the train station is with a 10 minute walk.

Hotel LaFayette was exactly what we were looking for during our trip to Paris! My partner and I wanted a convenient place to stay located in a “lived in” (not touristy) part of the city while still being near dining, the metro, and things to do. Hotel LaFayette fit the bill exactly! The check-in experience went very smoothly even though we were later than anticipated due to a flight delay. Front desk staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Their team speaks both French and English, so for travelers who aren’t fluent in French, there are no concerns with getting checked in. The room we stayed in was quite small compared to an American hotel room, but we were constantly out in the city doing things so it fit our needs exactly - a place to come back to for a shower and bed. While the beds were a little firmer than my preferred taste, the location and price made our stay worth it! There is breakfast available at the hotel for a fee, but we did not end up trying it. Everything looked great and we saw many other hotel guests enjoying breakfast before heading out for the day. There is a cute Patisserie and Boulangerie just down the street near the closest Metro station as well as several restaurants for lunch and dinner. The location is highly walkable and we enjoyed ourselves very much!

I recently stayed at the Rue de Lafayette Hotel in Paris for a quick overnight stop. Overall, it was a convenient and practical choice for a short stay, though it came with a few drawbacks. The location was excellent, easy to reach and close to public transport, which made getting around the city very simple. The welcome at reception was warm and efficient, and the staff made check-in smooth, which I appreciated after a long day of travel. The room itself was quite basic, with minimal furnishings and limited space, but it was clean and tidy, which is always a plus. Unfortunately, it did get rather hot during the night, but there is aircon. Another small issue was the soundproofing, you could hear pretty much everything from the bathroom, which wasn’t ideal for privacy. The lighting also caused some frustration, as the switches didn’t always seem to work properly. Despite these inconveniences, the hotel served its purpose well for a one-night stopover. It’s not a place I’d choose for a longer holiday or if I wanted a lot of comfort or amenities, but for a simple stay close to the city’s main attractions and transport links, it did the job.

This property is clean. Near the metro station and about 10-15 minutes walk from Gare Du Nord station. Not far from Galeries la Fayette. We couldn’t used the lift to get to the third floor for the entire time of our stay (not working), so we had to carry our luggage upstairs. Happy with the room very clean. And happy with the staff.

Great hotel just 10 min walk from gard du nord train station, pleasant reception and breakfast room, lift to all floors, WiFi great and rooms are lovely - I had a upper deluxe room which I believe are slightly bigger. Newly decorated, large flat screen tv (only bbc news In English) kettle with coffees and teas, hairdryer in bathroom - no view as mine overlooked otger bedrooms but we were barely there so not an issue, air con and large windows … Not luxurious but definitely adequate for a short break Area around the hotel was great with a street full of bars, restaurants, shops etc and felt safe in the evening..

Hotel rooms are basic, but this is only a 3 star hotel and is very very clean. dining area is nice and fresh, plenty of choice for breakfast. nice polite helpful staff. Could really do with a small fridge in the room and a mirror in the bedroom as the only mirror available in our room was on the inside door of the bathroom so if someone is in the shower then you have no mirror to do hair and make up in - so would suggest a further mirror in the bedroom area. Beds were made everyday and towels changed. Beds, linen and pillows were really comfortable and we slept like babies. Really enjoyed our stay - would recommend. Reception staff, nice , helpful and friendly. Thank you a lovely stay.

Sketchy front desk, felt scammed

Great location but felt scammed. I try to avoid bad reviews but think this could be helpful for others Was told elevator was going to be fixed “tomorrow” first day we came in and that i could get complimentary service. Elevator was broken for the wntore stay and see reviews saying its been broken for months, had to drag luggage up 5 flights. Things break which is fine but feel misled if its been broken for months and advertised as working. Free breakfast turns out to not be free. Found out halfway through my stay. Asked front deal about what he said and he pretended like it never happened. Cleaning staff and kitchen staff super friendly. Front desk staff not good. Not as clean as you’d imagine but its a 3 star so didn’t expect a ton.

The hotel was very clean in all areas, the staff were very friendly and helpfull. Plus the hotel is very close to Gard du Nord. Breakfast was excellent for 10€. Luggage held after checkout for no charge Full english speaking staff on duty 24/7 Shower cubicle a little tight if you have a large frame.
