"We loved this hideaway! Tucked in off a side road, it’s peaceful and relaxing with a gorgeous view of the sunset just a quick walk from the property. Playas Samara and Carrillo are a quick drive in either direction. We were glad to be cloistered among the giant trees at this property instead of close to the chaos of a beach town. "Comfortable place. Two beds in the room, that was unexpected. Nice. Staff need to be more attentive when . Serving and at the bar. But free breakfast was very good. Great beach, one of the best I have been in Costa Rica. Affordable. I don’t know if they have any beach chairs, I didn’t asked. There are none available at the beach except for the next door resort which they don’t rent. There are different activities offered by other businesses."

"The Sunset Shack was fantastic for our family trip to Nosara. The beach is super close, and the town is very cute. We were right in the middle of it all. Monkeys in the mango trees on the property in the morning, and iguanas roaming all day. The food, the staff, and the hotel itself were all 5 stars! We would love to return to Nosara, and would not stay anywhere else. Thank you Sunset Shack!"

"Fantastic place, amazingly well managed, and wonderful staff. Intimate, all staff were amazing. We felt so well taken care of. Every detail was thought through. The place is a 2 min walk to the ocean through a beautiful forest, straight from the property- we were going in and out in swim suits. The beach is fantastic, for surfers especially. Highly recommend!"
