However, There are two locations for this hotel. one is near the main road - that is where the pool is and it is a small pool so we didn't end up using it. Our room was on the second floor overlooking the beach area which was as advertised. Excellent breakfast included. Staff were great. It is a small town so easy access to everything."

"There is a lot to share about our experience. Our family of four booked this hotel for three nights to relax after some earlier adventures. Unfortunately we got some pretty terrible weather. We were the only ones staying on the property for the majority of our stay. In the high season they have a guard station and a restaurant. In the low season they are not fully staffed. "Comfortable place. Two beds in the room, that was unexpected. Nice. Staff need to be more attentive when . Serving and at the bar. But free breakfast was very good. Great beach, one of the best I have been in Costa Rica. Affordable. I don’t know if they have any beach chairs, I didn’t asked. There are none available at the beach except for the next door resort which they don’t rent. There are different activities offered by other businesses."

"Such a great location and wonderful spot! My husband and I loved the cleanliness, spacious room (and AC!) and friendly and helpful front staff. Breakfast was good although options seemed a bit limited and the wait staff was not friendly. Also just a note that it can get really loud if you stay over a Friday or weekend as there are parties in town and it is situated on the central road."

"Our stay at Azura Beach Resort was overall just okay. The absolute highlight of the resort was the staff. In particular, Alonzo was hands-down the best server I have ever had. I found myself specifically returning to the restaurant hoping he would be there because he was attentive, responsive, offered great recommendations, kept our drinks coming, and genuinely made us feel welcomed and cared for in a foreign country. "The room was in the basement with no hot water, small, and dark. The pool was the size of a large bathtub, and all small clean little prison compound. It would of suffice for a night or two, for about a 1/4 of the price i paid. But at $160 a night, it sucked. Worst hotel.com place ive ever stayed in Costa Rica."

"Staff were excellent. Very helpful and professional. Pool was pristine, perfectly kept. As usual, kitchenette could use better paring knives. Enjoyed wildlife: howler monkeys, racoons, coati, geckos, iguanas, birds, cat, two big spiders in web by check in! Off the beaten track so very private and quiet; personal cabins in midst of 'jungle'. Would go back and stay longer!"

"Our stay at Hotel Amira was beyond expectations and exceptional. The location and the staff, especially the hotel manager, went above and beyond to make our stay more than comfortable. The location was great. Several choices of restaurants nearby and close to beaches. Having stayed at many places in Costa Rica I would highly recommend Hotel Amira as a great place to stay."
