Stayed in a 1 BR. Close to train with direct route to Grand Central. Also close to coffee cafes and convenience stores. Room was great size, nicely decorated, and with nice amenities in the room. Lots of windows and light! Bed and linens were very nice, too. Highly recommend and will stay again.

I absolutely loved my stay at The Modernist! I came for a solo birthday getaway, and the staff made me feel welcomed immediately! The balconies and patios at these rooms are unreal! The only drawback was the front desk staffing. At one point my card to my room just did not work at all - I had gotten off a 13 hour shift and I waited in the lobby for 20 minutes trying to call someone with no sign of life. When they were around they were super kind and accomodating -

The room was clean and spacious, the front desk staff was very nice and welcoming, and the hotel itself was cute and comfortable to be in. Only complaint I have is that the bed was not comfortable to sleep on at all. Other than that, it was a nice stay.
