"This is a very cute unique place to stay. It is a little bit of a walk from the central touristy area of bacalar and a lot of touristy restaurants, but honestly it was great exercise for us and we enjoyed it. Plus, it’s only a short walk to the lagoon where you can swim for a daily fee of 20mxn. The hallway and bathrooms are a bit of a tight space, but it wasn’t a big deal for us. If you are much larger in size it might be annoying for you. The WiFi worked well enough to have zoom calls, albeit with a slight delay at times. The pool was nice and clean with hammocks to hang out in. The shower smelled not so great I think because it doesn’t drain properly. Also, we only had soap in the kitchen, nothing for bathroom sinks. But it’s easy enough to buy a couple of bars of soap at any of the local shops. For the price, this place is really great! It felt really safe and secure here. Each apartment has 2 big locked doors plus a giant locked door to the entrance of the whole space. We had 2 a/c’s that worked really well! 1 in the front and 1 in the back. There is a door between the front half and back half so you almost have 2 separate apartments. It’s funky but actually a lot of space for 2 people. It definitely fit our needs. "
